Clarity Matters

Frequently asked question

It’s okay to have questions — this is an important step, and clarity matters. Below, we’ve answered some of the things people often ask when considering a stay at Omnama.

FAQ

We’re not tied to any religion and welcome all beliefs. If you open to it, we support personal reflection and spiritual growth as part of recovery.
We support healthy family connection. Progress updates can be facilitated with the client’s permission.
Yes — if you have prescribed medication, please bring enough supply for your stay, along with the original packaging and a copy of the prescription if possible. We ask that all medications be disclosed during intake for safety and support purposes. If you’re unsure whether a specific medication is appropriate during your stay, feel free to check with us in advance.
Bali is a warm, tropical island, so we recommend bringing:
  • Light, breathable clothing for warm weather
  • Comfortable walking shoes or sandals
  • Swimwear for beach or pool days
  • A light sweater or hoodie for occasional rain or cooler evenings
If you forget something, don’t worry,  most essentials are easy to find locally.
Yes, we ask that all guests arrive in a stable and substance-free state. This helps create a safe and supportive environment for everyone and allows us to focus on the deeper, long-term work of recovery. If you’re unsure whether you’re ready, we’re happy to talk through what support might be needed first.
We understand that recovery is not always linear. While we do maintain a substance-free environment, if a relapse occurs, our focus is on safety, honesty, and appropriate next steps. Support will be provided to ensure the individual gets what they need, whether that means pausing the stay or accessing further care. A return can be considered after a period of recovery and reflection.
Yes — there are no strict restrictions. Guests are allowed to keep their phones and use the internet, as long as it’s done mindfully. We trust each person to use their devices with awareness, in a way that supports their recovery rather than distracts from it.
Optional support includes six months of aftercare, with access to online check-ins, alumni group connection, and continued guidance when needed.
Some of our practices may feel familiar—like peer support, guided reflection, or 12-step meetings. While participation is always optional, we encourage attending recovery meetings when they support your process. Our focus is on rhythm, presence, and grounded personal responsibility.
Yes, as long as it aligns with where you are in recovery. We encourage routines that support stability, not burnout.
Most residents stay for 30, 60, or 90 days. Some choose shorter or longer stays depending on personal goals, readiness, or lifestyle needs.
No. Omnama is a recovery living house, not a clinical or medical facility. We don’t offer detox or intensive therapy. Our space is designed for those transitioning after primary treatment.

I met Ferdi in 2019 whilst in treatment. He was a staff member, I was a client, my life had fallen apart, and I was a very scared, unwell shell of a man. Ferdi gave me some hope and inspiration through his kindness and wisdom, and helped me get my life back on track. it’s been an amazing journey since then, and Ferdi and I have remained in contact this whole time.

He is a great human, and I’m proud to call him a good friend
